FDA Discriminates Against Gays - Not Red Cross
July 17, 2008 by James Hipps
I’m going to leave the post up, but here is something someone brought to my attention by T. A. Ferguson, you can read his blog HERE. The Red Cross does not set the screening policies, they are set by the FDA. So, in reality, it is the FDA doing the discrimination and NOT the Red Cross. So that actually changes my stance on the posters mentioned in the 8th paragraph. The protest should have been aimed at the FDA and not the Red Cross. However, in all my communications with the Red Cross, not one of the people I emailed back and forth with ever told me this information. Thank you to Mr. Ferguson. Not only did he clear this up for me, but he was a Red Cross Volunteer for 40 years. We need more people like him in this world. Even if he knocked me off my soap box!
