Money Matters: Different Strokes For Different Folks

A recent national survey conducted by Harris Interactive®, concluded 54% of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender adults report they are very or somewhat comfortable in the environment created by their current financial services provider, while 67% or heterosexuals agree they are very or somewhat comfortable. With this known, it shouldn’t seem unusual that GLBT adults also report higher tendencies to become financially informed from Internet sources, unlike many heterosexuals who refer to word of mouth or television sources for information. While both GLBT and heterosexuals utilize sources including financial experts, accountants, planners, brokers, etc., it is more likely that GLBT consumers tend to rely on trusted friends or seek independent sources of information more than heterosexuals. You can read more about these findings at harrisinteractive.net.
