Oklahoma Repub Links Gays to Satan

On Monday morning, CNN interviewed Brent Rinehart, who is running for re-election as a county commissioner in Oklahoma City, about his use of a tasteless campaign cartoon equating gay people to Satan. Of course, the cartoon depicts Mr. Rinehart as the only one capable of standing up to the child corrupting influences of the “homosexual agenda.”

It appears that Mr. Rinehart so distinguished himself in his previous term the state attorney general has charged him with perjury, conspiracy, and money laundering. Could it be that all of this gay bashing is a last ditch attempt to rally the nutjobs to come out and save his job on election day? You really couldn’t make this stuff up.
