Not Your Fathers Game: Gay Men Like Sports Too

Being a gay male who likes sports … was a lonely life for me, when I was a young guy. I liked a lot of sporting events, especially with the advent of television at our home because of all the “guys” I could see.
I had all these opportunities to see these guys pat each other on the butts, roll around on the ground together in wrestling, and of course, the hot male wrestlers. As an altar boy in church the pastor used to take us altar boys to the National Guard Armory in downtown Duluth about three or four times a year for the local Minnesota wrestling circuit.
I remember guys like Vern Gagne, The Crusher, Ray Stevens, or Mad Dog Vachon and Nick Bockwinkel … and who could forget Baron Von Raschke. Wow…some old great wrestling names in the upper midwest.
When I really came to terms with my life - as being a gay man about 11 years ago, part of my ideal life was to be with a guy forever.
