Skins & Shirts Debut Tonight on LOGO

Shirts & Skins, the highly anticipated reality series about a gay basketball team pursuing their dream of winning the National Gay Basketball Championship in Chicago, is coming to Logo this fall.

The show highlights six basketball players on the gay all-star team, the San Francisco Rockdogs.  Mike, Rory, DeMarco, Chris, Pete and Jamel are gay in the spotlight of the sports team legend who has won more gold medals than any other team. However, after a 2006 win at the Gay Games, the team lost it’s momentum.

Producers of the show catch up to the Rockdogs only one month before the National Gay Basketball Championship in Chicago. The team has some serious issues to overcome including a very small budget, some big personality differences and an overall poor team effort.

Despite their shortcomings, and fair share of team drama, Papa Joe, the teams manager claims, “When we say family, we mean family.”  The team not only shares a training house, but they eat together, train together, and, of course, celebrate together.

Former Basketball Pro, John Amaechi, makes a guest appearance that is especially touching. Amaechi’s role as therapist brings about a greater understanding of the team’s dynamics as he offers keen insight into these matters.

Shirts & Skins is reality series that will prove itself both entertainment and inspiration for gay and straight athletes and fans alike.

Watch the season premier Monday, September 15th at 10:00 p.m. on LOGO.  The first after premier show will be aired Saturday, September 20th at 11:30 a.m. and again at 10:30 p.m.
