The Redskins’ Jason Taylor is Hot Hot Hot

We’re not sure if he’s better known for his gig on Dancing With the Stars or for banging up men in tight pants on the football field, but the 6’6” Jason Taylor sure has made an impact in our minds. With football season getting underway, the NFL defensive end, currently playing for the Washington Redskins, made the cut as this week’s Sporno man of the week. Born in Pittsburgh, Taylor was homeschooled through high school, but was a three-sport star at Woodland Hills High School, which permitted him to participate in the athletic program. Upon graduation, the Taylor attended the University of Akron, where he was a four-year letterman for the program. Through the course of his career at Akron he racked up 279 tackles and 29 sacks. Additionally, he started for the school’s basketball team.
In 1997, the Miami Dolphins drafted Taylor in the third round, making him the 73rd overall pick. After several season with the ‘Phins, Taylor scored his best season ever in 2006 recording 13.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, 10 forced fumbles and two interceptions. At the end of the 2006 season he earned the NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors.
