My Darling Kate

The thing I feel most strongly about this year at the academy awards is watching Kate Winslet… and watching her walk away with a statue. While I have no doubt that she’ll be around for a long time to come, regardless of who takes the best actress award, I feel it is time that Hollywood acknowledges what is arguably one of its most consistent and valuable assets. Since Titanic, Kate as continuously out performed the entire industry without trying to become the next Mother Tersesa.
