The Iowa Supreme Court Got it Exactly Right
April 13, 2009 by Gay Agenda News Team
The Iowa Supreme Court got it exactly right. In upholding a lower-court ruling affirming the legality of gay marriage, the Court stated that “the exclusion of gay and lesbian people from the institution of civil marriage does not substantially further any important governmental objective.”
The court went on to say that there was no “constitutionally sufficient justification” for such a ban. I can only fervently pray that the “pro-family” zealots, once they have stopped frothing at the mouth about this decision, will someday abandon their illogical, irrational, myopic, the-sky-is-falling bigotry and, with the common sense that God gives all human beings, agree that homosexual unions are not a threat to man-woman marriage, the traditional nuclear family and the American way of life.
