LANSING – As Prop 8 upheld, Gay rights organizers calling for protest at capitol, tonight, 7pm
The California Supreme court has upheld Proposal 8 with a vote of 6-1 today. The organizers of the Lansing rally are now calling them a “PROTEST and CALL TO ACTION”
Justin Lippi, an organizer for the event, said “The California supreme court has taken the easy way out. That means it is time for the LGBT community to step up to the plate. We are ready to fight. We will have full marriage equality in Michigan by 2012. It’s time to be Loud. It’s time to demand our rights now.”
The rally is scheduled for Today at 7pm at the capitol.
