Poll Shows Equality Favored in NY

New poll results from a Quinnipiac University poll has found there is growing support for marriage equality in New York, even as a bill that would legalize same-sex marriage is being debated in the state Senate which is scheduled for a special session.
The poll finds 51 percent of New York registered voter who were asked support the legalization of same-sex marriage, while only 41 percent oppose it.
This is the first time a Quinnipiac poll found majority support for marriage equality in New York.
