A Day Without Soldiers

In NYC, soldiers carrying M-16’s guarded the train stations. Here in Indiana, we live 20-miles from a US army camp and at our mall, dozens of enlisted men hang out in their fatigues but no guns. Overhead, metro-bus sized army helicopters fly by; and on the expressways, huge army trucks and jeeps zoom by with hidden cargo. Which do I prefer? Neither.
