Happy Thanksgiving from GayAgenda.com!
November 26, 2009 by James Hipps
Those of us at GayAgenda.com would like to take this opportunity to say Happy Thanksgiving to all of our readers, whether you live in the U.S. or beyond.
Thanksgiving takes on a myriad of different meanings to all who celebrate the day. For some it’s about the ritual of being with family, for some it marks the beginning of the holiday season. For others it’s a time when we get together with our families, extended families and/or friends. It’s a time to reflect back on our year, our accomplishments, our defeats, our joys and sometimes our sorrows.
Regardless of what Thanksgiving means to you. Regardless of whether you celebrate the holiday or not, it is a day to be thankful. Even if you’re not in a place you feel thankful to be in, you still will find reason to be thankful for what you have…life. There is not a day go by we shouldn’t acknowledge our thankfulness for the life we have and the world we live in. As cliché as it may sound, all living persons have something to be thankful for. If you wake up in the morning, you do have the power to make it a good day.
Often times however, as great as we humans are at finding things to be thankful for, we leave out the thing we should be most thankful for. It’s obvious to give thanks for family and friends. It’s easy to be thankful for the roof over our head, the clothes on our back and the food on our tables. But let’s not forget the one thing we need to be most thankful for…yourself.
Without you, nothing else would matter. Without you, there would be no family and friends. Without you there would be no meals, no holidays, no laughter no joy. You are an important element of what you have to be thankful for. So this holiday season, as you take time to give thanks for all the good in your life, make sure you take time to give thanks to yourself, for again, it’s you that has created the wonderful world in which you live.

Once again your words are beautiful
