Huckabee: Once You Change Marriage, There is “No Limit”

No Mike, this is NOT about changing marriage. Marriage hasn’t always meant the same thing. At one time it meant multiple spouses. At one time it was a pre-arranged union. At one time people of various colors weren’t allowed to marry.
This whole rhetoric about how “gay marriage” will lead to polygamy is absurd to say the least. It hasn’t in The Netherlands, Belgium, Canada, Spain, Norway, and Sweden.
Mike, you say is so calm and smooth. You actually think people can see beyond your caring tone? Do you think for one minute, just because you use a Mr. Rogers style voice when you spew anti-gay rhetoric that anyone other than those brainwashed by the religious right believes you care about anyone’s marriage. YOU DON”T LIKE GAY PEOPLE…have the MANHOOD to come out and say it! You can say it however you want, but the fact remains, you are a homophobic bigot. We’ve all heard the saying “a rose is still a rose by any other name”, yes Mike, and bigotry and discrimination is still bigotry and discrimination, no matter how hard you try to twist it around to be so supportive of “opposite marriage”. How many “gay friends” do you have Mike? When was the last time you went to a gay couple’s house for dinner? Of course, I would also ask, when was the last time you went to a person of color’s house for dinner because they are your “friend”? You are against LGBT having equality. You stood against hate-crimes legislation. You don’t agree with anti-discrimination laws that include LBGT citizens. You are a part of the religious right machine and you are a homophobic bigot!

Huckabees argument is fallacious. If he truly believed in the word of his gawd, he knows that patriarchal polygamy was the game of the day back 5000 years ago and still is in the muslim world. What a dim bulb. If he were a real scholar, he would know that “love match” marriage was not even invented until the Victorian era, and that until 1922 all marriages were contracts between men to exchange chattel, and that until 1967 miscegenation laws were still being enforced. HE IS A TOTAL HYPOCRITE. Marriage equality means what it says, lgbt want the exact same rights as straights; that being able to marry the person one loves, being that both parties are adult, consenting, not blood related and sane.
Huckabee is a homophobe, always has been and always will be.
Marriage has changed throughtout history, at one time in this country I wouldn’t have been able to marry my husband because of skin color. Now we all know how ridiculous that is, but why can’t people see that to deny gay marriages is the same as denying a marriage based on skin color?
He’s been spewing out his hateful gay bashing for a while now, but I don’t think there are really that many people paying attention to him.
The fact is Huckabee is just a waste of space and someone should remove his vocal chords!
