I also believe everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs but she did much more than just state her belief. She pretended to be this God fearing Christian woman standing for Christian values. If she is going to present herself as holier than thou better make sure she really is all that she pretends to be.
As far as Christian values goes, the bible i read speaks of love, being truthful, and not judgemental. She failed on all three.

There are so many religions out there, I doubt anyone really knows how many. There are always new ones showing up, but they all have so many things in common; the most profound one is that they all think they are right and everyone else is wrong.

I think Prejean is entitled to her opinion, but I also think she is a brainwashed woman. She was raised to believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, I was raised to see black people as savages who swing from the trees and eat bananas all day. I made up my own mind that racism is wrong, she blindly follows what she was told without having thoughts of her own.

The point isn’t of supporting or not supporting an issue or another.
The point is using religion to justify giving or removing rights from any single group, including people who do not belong to your particular religious denomination.

The single most important error that Christian fundamentalists make, repeatedly, ad nauseam, is that THEIR version of Christianity is the only one.

The truth is, if you do your research, you realize that there are MANY Christian denominations that support full rights for gays and lesbians.
