Lesbian Actress Meredith Baxter Gets Book Deal

Meredith Baxter, who came out on live television, is planning to pen a memoir.
Baxter, 62, played Elyse Keaton on the ’80s sitcom Family Ties.
Broadway Books, an imprint of Crown Publishing Group, announced it had acquired the memoir, saying Baxter will ‘present a fully realised portrait of her life as an actress, mother of five children and grandmother, and will candidly discuss her fight with breast cancer, her 19 years of sobriety, entrepreneurship and her decision to come out’.
