Religious Right: We Are The Chosen Ones
February 7, 2010 by James Hipps
Sarah Palin recently stated that in an interview about her new book that it was “God’s will” that she was picked by the McCain campaign as the VP running mate. However Sarah, along with other right wing Christians often blame God for their misfortunes as well. But then they turn around and rejoice in their reality that “God” made it happen for a reason, and God delivered them from their own evil. When asked, they’ll give a consistent answer that God controls every single aspect of their life. One may find it odd however that these same people, who claim God is ultimately responsible for every single aspect of their life, isn’t somehow responsible for people being gay?
Could they be the chosen ones…or do they just think they are?

They are brainwashed, delusional people who have no sense of reality. They are bound by fear of death, hate for “others”, and unbridled and arrogant self-righteousness. They operate on the premise that whatever they do (steal from the state, cheat on their wives, lie about gays), that God will forgive them if they only ask for it. IT’S DISGUSTING.
Why do we preach to the choir when it’s the general American public that needs to hear the message.
I’m new to this wondeful forum of online news and the electronic exchange of ideas but I can’t help but believe that the there must exist some forum of ideas brought forth here that the average American, interested in LGBT politics, reads on a regular basis.
The comments found here are exremely valulable because they help all of us understand that we are not alone out there and that there are others who care about our wellbeing but (lets’s face it) it only reaches a small group of similar minded people willing to enter in an exachge of ideas with others or to simply vent over the “Slap in the face of the day”
The point made in these articles are invaluable when it come to unraveling the thought processes of the “enemy”. BUT WHO IS READING IT!
How do we get these articles and the rebuttals out into the mainstream media? If it’s just a matter of posting the article to say “The New York Times” or the “Minnepolis Star and Tribule” editorial pages then hell, I’m willing and I’m sure scores of others are willing as well.
Tell me how to reach the Amerian public and I’ll do all I can to make that happen.
In the mean time, keep up this excellent work and GET INVOLVED; you never know who might just drop in and read what is posted here.
If you see anything on this site that you deem appropriate to share with main stream media outlets, then by all means please share, all I ask is give credit to the author.
THANK YOU for such a wonderful compliment!
