True American Heroes Stand Up for Equality

True American Heroes Stand Up for Equality

I don’t know who this lady is, but I wish I did.  I wish I had the opportunity to thank her in person for standing up to a corporation that supports an anti-gay candidate just because they are a Republican who is “corporate friendly”, as in oh no, don’t tax me, I’m a big corporation!

Notice, she’s not saying bad things about the anti-gay religious right. She’s not spouting about her “freedoms and liberties” are being compromised. She’s not carrying a gun like the tea-baggers do.  She’s not spouting conspiracy theories and connecting the dots on a chalkboard like Glenn Beck does.  She’s simply saying that politicians who have to pander to members of the religious right for votes by making them feel they are ‘more than’ by making LGBT community members ‘less than’ through discriminatory laws should not be supported money she spends at a store on items she needs.

Thank you Ms. Reitan.  You are a true American hero, and you don’t even know it!

She’s someone to be proud of, I can’t think of what to say really but I’ve got a smile now and I’ve had one like this for a while now.

I wish I could think of what to say but the only word that comes to mind is WOW.
