The Sick & Twisted Minds Behind the 9/12 Project

September 12, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

OK, I hate to even bring attention to this groups of right wing hacks, but this, for lack of any better word, is purely and simply…CRAZY!

The right has come up with some form of protest called the 9/12 project, and one of it’s biggest endorsers is one of the “right’s” biggest losers, Glenn Beck.

The 9/12 project is an organized cluster f*ck of right wing racist, bigots, and cry babies who will be holding “tea parties” across the county…and the day after 9/11…ooooh, someone really put a lot of thought into that one.

I suppose it’s another attempt at blaming the Obama administration for their own downfalls as well as an attempt to somehow blame the Obama administration for the events of 9/11.

Sick, twisted, and out of control.  I just hope none of them get struck by lightning…we don’t need our President accused of brainwashing God.

Stay in School, and Other Socialist Propaganda

I understand what it feels like when you just want to turn off the television. I did it myself, when W. talked about gay marriage and told yet another lie about weapons of mass destruction. But parents have responsibilities to make sure we raise children who are educated and capable of basic civic engagement. I like to think that if I had kids, I would have said to them: “Honey, President Bush thinks gay marriage is wrong. I strongly disagree, and here is why. What do you think?” If we can’t have those conversations–even on uncontroversial subjects like staying in school–we’re going to have no chance of solving health care, global environmental crises, and the other massive problems we face. We have to be informed, and we have to speak to each other, to tackle these challenges. Let’s not stop our kids before they get started.

Homophobia and Sexism in the Same Arena

August 8, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

Let’s look at the opposition to LGBT equality. Most are those who claim to have strong Biblical ties, and many even feel compelled to speak for their ultimate authority, which is none other than God.

But many of these weak minded religious zealots = undereducated bigots, also think that women still are lesser objects then men, and obviously are only here for a man’s entertainment.

I ran across this post on the blog Southern Beale, which clearly demonstrates my point.

According to the post:

Apparently a strip club with a “controversial new twist” has one Metro Nashville councilman just “sick”:

Metro Councilman Michael Craddock does not want Nashville to become known as host to one of the south’s only male strip clubs.

“I’m sick to my stomach – I’m just absolutely sick,” said Craddock.

“It’s different for a man to show himself than a woman. It’s another step in the wrong direction.”

The last sentence, the one I’ve highlighted, now that sums it up nicely.

Here is that old school mentality that women are mere subjects for a man’s pleasure.  That is of course unless the man is gay, then it’s not OK to go down the the local strip club for your fill of eye candy.

This is one of the biggest problems with those from the religious right, and mainly those in the more conservative Southern states. The good ole’ boy system is still in place and those good ole’ boys don’t want anything they don’t understand interfering with their simple lives.

The woman’s place is still in the kitchen, unless she’s on a pole entertaining, and gay men belong in the closet.  After all, if they don’t acknowledge progress and change, then it never really changed right?  And, if they sweep want they don’t want to see under the rug, then they don’t have to look at it.

This again is why there needs to be federally mandated equality for all citizens, because unfortunately, a majority of our citizens are still racist, sexist homophobes who just want to go back to a time when the world was all about the need of the man, especially the white man. We have to remember that you can’t teach old dogs new tricks, so sometimes you have to force them to lay down.

NC Recognizes Homophobic, Racist Bigot Jesse Helms

June 14, 2009 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment

My state is getting over its fringe-conservative hangover, having turned Blue in the last election, but we’ve still got a General Assembly full of lawmakers willing to honor a bigot and homophobe like the late Jesse Helms. But not all of them.

Sen. Julia Boseman (D-New Hanover), North Carolina’s only openly gay or lesbian state legislator, voted against a resolution honoring the life of the late Jesse Helms on Wednesday, June 10. She was the only legislator to register a vote against the honorary resolution. Twenty-six other legislators, meanwhile, sat out of the vote.

The resolution, which passed the Senate 41-1 and the House 98-0, states, “The General Assembly of North Carolina expresses its appreciation for the life and public service of Jesse Alexander Helms, Jr., and honors his memory.”

…”I could have never voted in favor of a resolution honoring Sen. Helms because of his divisive history and his anti-civil-rights principles,” said Sen. Floyd McKissick (D-Durham), according to an Associated Press report.

Oh Those Privileged Right Wing Nuts!

June 7, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

I’ve often wondered, why are the Right Wing Nuts in this country so judgmental?  How did they get to believe they are so much better than everyone else?  Is it they are simply a victim of a poorer degree of education?  Is it they have been sheltered their entire life?  Is it simply white privilege at its worst?  What makes some people think they have the right to judge others based upon characteristics they can’t change, like the color of their skin or their sexual orientation?  In other words, what possible sense of pride could someone have, or how could anyone feel good about one’s self knowing they are a bigot?  Is their something so wrong in their own life, something so amiss from their own happiness they want discriminate and oppress those who haven’t shared in their privileged life?  Are they afraid that somehow, allowing others to live free, as they do, will somehow jeapordize their freedoms?

I really don’t know, but would really like their to be some sort of psychological study done to get at the root of this issue.  Perhaps it’s genetics.

It’s become pretty easy for me to not pay attention, or at least serious attention to such nuts, but every once in a while, I run across one so amazingly ignorant that I have to stop and wonder how anyone with half a brain could be so narrow-minded and…well, for lack of better terms, stupid.

So of course, you know I’m going to share it with you.  I ran across this blogger, who even before I saw her picture, I knew was white, and had led a privileged life.  How did I know, I read what she wrote.  Not only is this type of mentality unbelievably stupid, but extremely un-American, yet somehow, in the very small mind they came from, the words show a complete lack of understanding that the world we live in is not some protected little bubble where the worst thing that happens is a bad dye job at the salon.

The blog I’m speaking of is appropriately titled “Right Bias” and is written by Nancy Morgan, who is obviously a woman who relies on either alimony, her current husband, or both to provide her with a good enough life that she can afford to reiterate the rediculousness of Rush Limbaugh from the comfort of her waterfront dwelling.

This bimbo has come up with a novel idea.  Not a new one, but nevertheless novel.  Just as the racist and white supremest can’t seem to get it through their tiny brains as to why there is a Black History Month, this one is obviously stressed out over the fact that President Obama has issued a statement proclaiming June as LGBT Pride Month.  She has decided that all other 11 months of the year should be dedicated at “Heterosexual Pride Month”.  Not being swift enough to know that every day of the entire year is “white, heterosexual pride month”, she has determined that somehow, this is deducting from the quality of her life, and has decided to lash out about it.  Maybe she is trying to be the next Ann Coulter, or perhaps she has sexual fantasies about Rush Limbaugh and thinks if she bashes Obama and gay people enough, he’ll cut her in on his stash of narcotics, but whatever the motivation, it’s hateful and bigoted, not to mention sick and twisted.

Now I’m only guessing here, but if this was done by a white Republican president, I don’t think we’d find it on her blog.  Not that a white Republican president would stop pandering to the Religious Right long enough to dedicate anything to the LGBT community, but if they did, I’m almost certain she would be fine with it.

So Nancy, as you work on your tan, outside of your waterfront home. As you get together with your other white friends, and talk about your new Lexus, manicures, pedicures, and yes, your bad dye jobs at the salon, while you talk bad about the one who couldn’t make attendance that particular day, remember these words.

Whether you know it or not, someone you love is gay.  Whether you know them or not, someone gay fought, and is fighting for rights, from which you too will benefit.
