What Are Anti-Gay Groups Hidding?

September 10, 2009 by James Hipps · 2 Comments

This coming Sunday, September 13th, there will be a Stand for Marriage Rally held at the Civic Center in Augusta, Maine. The rally is being organized by Focus on the Family, The Maine Jeremiah Project, Family Research Council and Stand for Marriage Maine, which includes the Roman Catholic Diocese of Portland.

Many well-known, anti-gay leaders, including Bishop Richard Malone and Tony Perkins are expected to speak to those in attendance and will bee accompanied by religious leaders from Maryland and California.

The anti-gay Focus on the Family’s James Dobson is expected to participate via video message.

If you want to attend, you can do so for free if you can get a ticket. But, if you’re planning to attend, don’t tell anyone you’re a member of the media because the media will not be allowed inside the event.

Now, if the groups are genuinely convinced they have a message that should be heard, then why keep the media out? Are they worried they’ll be harassed about where the funding to help uphold discrimination is coming from? Perhaps they’ve simply figured out the lies and hate they spew are too easy to challenge? In any case, I find it very odd that such powerful anti-gay groups who are fighting to protect the sanctity of marriage are afraid of and hiding from the media. You’d think they’d welcome the press to help get out the word of how the gay agenda is to bring the nation to it’s knees by gaining equality.

Catholic Bishop: Gay Marriage “A Dangerous Sociological Experiment”

May 11, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

Bishop Richard Malone, who is considered to be the “spiritual leader” of Maine’s 200,000 Roman Catholics stated he was “deeply disappointed” in the state’s lawmakers and governor for making same-sex marriage legal in Maine.

Malone also called referred to same-sex marriage as “a dangerous sociological experiment” which he he believes will have negative and “tragic” consequences for society as a whole.

In a statement released last Thursday, the Catholic bishop stated:

“Children will be taught in schools that same-sex marriage and traditional marriage are simply different expressions of the same thing, and that the logical and consistent understanding that marriage and reproduction are intrinsically linked is no longer valid. These are profound changes that will reverberate throughout society with tragic consequences.”

Bishop Malone, you’re an idiot.  Take your anti-gay rhetoric and shove it.  So what if children are taught tolerance, acceptance and diversity? What damage could that possibly do?  Perhaps you also stand against anti-bullying and hate crimes legislation?  What will the “tragic consequences” be?  Perhaps that a child is brought up in a loving home and learns not to hate based on sexual orientation?  How many Catholic priest have raped little  boys, and how many times has that been swept under the rug from the likes of yourself?  Now there is something that has “tragic consequences”.

Also, how is marriage and experiement?  Marriage has been going on for thousands of years, and the only tragic consequence has been the mockery that heterosexual people have made of your so called “God created institution.”

With entire countries, including Spain and Canada (only to name two) having legalized marriage equality, just what has been the tragedy that has followed?

Bishop Malone, your church is the most corrupt institute in all of written history.  Sit down and shut up!  We’ve seen what tragic consequences has befallen upon people over the corrupt power of your tax-free organization.  Pick up a history book…oh, and perhaps you should pick up the Bibel while your at it…doesn’t it say something about those who “cast the first stone”?
