What is Sarah Palin’s Real Motivation?

July 5, 2009 by James Hipps · 1 Comment

Various  accusations and speculations have been made about the why’s and motivation behind Alaska’s Caribou Barbie Governor, Sarah Palin’s announcement of early retirement from her post.

Some believe she is tired of the “harsh” criticisms that she has received, even though they aren’t any more harsh than the criticisms received by many politicians, especially female politicians.

Some believe it’s part of her continued agenda to become a bigger political player than the office of Governor of Alaska can possibly offer.

Others have speculated there is more dirt to yet to surface on the former beauty queen of Alaska, so she is bailing now, before the going gets really tough, and the not so tough have to get going.

Regardless of the speculation of motive, one thing most people do agree that she gave a completely incoherent resignation speech. It didn’t make sense, and demonstrated someone who’s obviously having some sort of crisis.

Here’s’ my theory. I think she is smart and her “crisis” has been carefully calculated. Why? Because she still had a year and a half left to serve as Alaska’s Gov. By the time that term is up, Sarah Palin would no longer be in the limelight, media or otherwise.

Here is what no one else seems to be saying, but this is what I believe to be her golden opportunity to cash in. This woman knows she can make a great deal more (financially) by going on speaking tours and producing a book than her current salary could ever produce. Here is her opportunity to “cash in” on her popularity, and if she waits another 18 months, that opportunity possible could be dust in the wind. She sees a financial opportunity, and she is taking it. Being Governor of Alaska would not permit her, time and travel wise, to capitalize on this favorable circumstance. So in all honesty, I believe good ole’ American greed has overcome her, and I don’t necessarily fault her for that. It’s not what someone with a strong political agenda would do, nor is it a sign of a strong moral leader, but let’s face it, here is her lottery. It’s her choice to play or not. I don’t believe Sarah Palin seeks political power as much as she seeks popularity. The beauty queen in her has once again resurfaced.

Now I could be wrong, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the least if we see signs saying “Sarah Palin: Coming to a town near you” being placed strategically across the conservative corners of America very soon!

David Letterman to Sarah Palin: It’s a Joke

Our favorite Alaskan, Sarah Palin a.k.a Caribou Barbie, a.k.a. Caribou Killer, a.k.a. The Deer Slayer, is on the warpath over some jokes made on a recent episode of “Late Night with David Letterman”. Here’s a clip from Dave telling it like it is…CLASSIC!

Sarah Palin Refuses Interview with GayAgenda

January 31, 2009 by James Hipps · 2 Comments

On December 16th of 2008, I wrote the Governor of Alaska’s office requesting an interview by phone. I stated in my request that the interview would be in regards to her views on LGBT issues.

On January 27th, 2009, I received this reply:

Dear James,
Thank you for your request for Governor Palin to answer questions on
LGBT issues on December 16, 2008. Unfortunately Governor Palin will not
be available due to scheduling conflicts. Thank you again for your
consideration,

Abbey Bulawa
Press Assistant
Office of Governor Sarah Palin

Now I know that the Governor has had a good deal of trouble when being adressed by the press, but I found it laughable that the refusal for an interview was “due to scheduling conflicts” when I had not even proposed a time or date.

I wish the big bad caribou killer who refers to herself as a pitbull with lipstick would come out and play.  Certainly a gay man is no threat to someone who can pray that away!

The Right’s Barbie Doll Just Won’t Go Away

The matriarch of the anti-gay right, Sarah Palin, just won’t to go away.  It has been reported that she is attending a dinner in DC this week with the new president.  She said in a statement that she couldn’t miss an opportunity to dine with the president.  I think she probably misses the spotlight a little bit and is working like hell to get out of Alaska.  What makes me so sure.  On her new PAC site she states:

Our country, founded on conservative principles and the fight for freedom, must confront the challenges of the 21st century with integrity, innovation, and determination.

SarahPAC believes energy independence is a cornerstone of the economic security and progress that every American family wants and deserves.

SarahPAC believes the Republican Party is at the threshold of an historic renaissance that will build a better future for all. Health care, education, and reform of government are among our key goals. Join us today!

The site doesn’t say much else, but you can donate to her cause if you’d like!

Sunday Funnies – Palin’s Baby Has a Baby

January 4, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

Our friends over at Pam’s House Blend had a post announcing the birth of the latest member of the Palin klan.  It was reported that Palin’s daughther Bristol, gave birth to a 7-pound, 4-ounce baby boy in Palmer Last Sunday, and named the boy Tripp!

The Funnie part?  There is a line at the end of the post that simply cracks me up.  It reads:

His grandmothers, “Power Tripp” and “Drug Tripp”, must be so proud…
