ChoicePoint, Inc. has received a perfect score of 100 percent for its treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors for sixth consecutive years.

“At ChoicePoint, what makes us different makes us strong. This belief is a reflection of the company culture and personality,” said Derek V. Smith, ChoicePoint chairman and CEO, in a news release. “We offer our associates the opportunity to grow and thrive through multiple affinity groups, outreach activities and other benefits, and we know that diversity makes for a richer and more productive work environment here at ChoicePoint.”

The Human Rights Campaign Foundation (HRC) rates companies on a scale of 0 to 100. 259 of the 583 companies rated have received a perfect score. This is a significant increase from the 195 perfect scores given last year. HRC has been scoring U.S. corporations on their GLBT friendliness since 2002.
