Soon, we’ll see Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor get loved up in I Love You Phillip Morris, an outrageous true story from the writers of Bad Santa. And, later in the year, Julianne Moore and Annette Bening play a married couple in Lisa Cholodenko’s sublime The Kids Are All Right.

Public figures, whether professional athletes, actors or politicians ARE role models…whether they want to be or not. They owe it to the LGBT community, especially during this period of struggle, to come out, and support equality for all! Come OUT!

Adam Lambert is under someone’s spell in his new song “Voodoo.” The track, which appears on international versions of Lambert’s debut album For Your Entertainment, should be released in the U.S. soon, according to his Twitter account.

Lambert announced the song’s release to his fans late Thursday, writing, “Song will be released soon in US on WWFM & FYE Remix EP! Check out VOODOO! Bonus track co-written w Sam Sparro appearing on international release of FYE. Turn it up.”

“Voodoo” has a spacey feel that is reminiscent of the For Your Entertainment cover art. (Co-writer Sparro has penned tracks for “Star Trek” and “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy.” With its throwback, new-romantic vibe, it feels like it could have easily been recorded by Duran Duran during their 1980s heyday.

A DAYTIME television presenter was yesterday found dead in “unexplained” circumstances.

Kristian Digby, 32, best known for co-hosting To Buy Or Not To Buy on BBC1, was found dead at his home.

Sources close to the presenter, who was gay, suggested his body was found by his ex-partner, a former policeman.

Paramedics who were called to his flat in Newham, east London, pronounced him dead at 7.45am.

Metropolitan Police officers launched an investigation and sources said he had died in “unexplained” circumstances.

There are no suggestions his death was suicide.

Digby, a property expert from Devon, appeared in a string of BBC programmes, including Double Agents, Living In The Sun, House Swap and Buy It, Sell It, Bank It.

His friend and agent, Jo Wander, said: “I am devastated by the loss.

“He was a lovely guy and a very talented presenter and director.

Simon Cowell (American Idol judge and former critic of runner-up Clay Aiken) had this to say about his recent coming-out announcement.

“Wow, that’s a shock,” Cowell joked to Extra when the syndicated entertainment news program informed him of the former American Idol runner-up’s decision to finally confirm what everyone but his most deluded Claymate fans had already figured out. “It’s like being told Santa Clause isn’t real — unbelievable.”

Colin Firth has been nominated for an Academy Award for playing a gay man in A Single Man. But gay actors still hide

“I think it needs to be addressed and I feel complicit in the problem. I don’t mean to be. I think we should all be allowed to play whoever, but I think there are still some invisible boundaries which are uncrossable.”

Actors are forever lauded for their “bravery”, but when it comes to gay rights (and wrongs), Hollywood is streaked with cowardice, prejudice, self-interest and hypocrisy. This supposed hotbed of creativity and licentiousness is weirdly sexually conservative and behind the times.

Rupert Everett, Firth’s co-star in Another Country and a leading man-in-waiting until he came out, recently advised gay actors not to do the same. His career had been impeded by his honesty, he believes — although his life is freer as a result.

Despite his sexuality, this 28-year-old goth pretty boy still attracts many female fans, secretly wishing for him to convert or at least consider switching to the other side. Perhaps there is hope.

He told the UK’s Times, “I’m openly gay so they know I’m not going to have sex with a woman — although, I like making out with girls from time to time. I have this curiosity at the back of my mind. I’ve never had sex with a woman and I’m a little bit curious about it.”

From the first moment he saw the poise of The Supremes on stage to winning “Best Afro” and “Best Dancer” prizes in junior high school, RuPaul Andre Charles knew his was going to be a star.

RuPaul grew up in San Diego, where his parent’s tumultuous divorce and a blemished school record forced him to move in with sister Renetta and brother-in-law Laurence. There, he happened across the public access program, “The American Music Show.” Eager to compete, RuPaul’s formed his first group, “The U-hauls,” and performed on the show.

RuPaul has since conquered the most reputable (and not-so-pristine) performance spaces in both New York City and Los Angeles, eventually becoming the most recognizable female illusionist in the country. He is now the host of LOGO’s wildly popular reality series, “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

I spoke with RuPaul about his mortality, the gay love affair with illusion, and his first $25 drag prize.
