A Handy Guide to All Gay Men
February 17, 2010 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment
The gay world is often represented as some sort of monolithic whole that has the same culture. That is a lie. It is actually broken down into a handful of substrata to which each gay belongs. Here they are.
Just like the world at large may stereotype gays as mincing wrist flippers with great taste bent on giving everyone they meet a make over. A queer will tell you that we are all individuals and that those stereotypes are false and horrible. That said, when the gays see a fellow homosexual in the public sphere, we try to plug them into the convenient taxonomy the community has made for itself. That’s right, we have our own stereotypes for each other, and they’re much more specific than you can ever imagine.
What’s Wrong with Being ‘Strong’?
January 2, 2010 by Gay Agenda News Team · 1 Comment
Like any good gay man, I have at least two black women friends on speed dial. It’s just something that’s a phenomenon here in Texas. If you’re gay, you know the sisters. They take you under wing and help shelter you from the big bad old white man world. Even if you are a big old bad white man, so long as you’re gay – you’re in, because you share a common element – strong. Or, more bluntly – Bitch. (As captured so well in the recent book of the same name.)
Sure, this post is full of stereotypes, but, like all mythology, stereotypes have some seed of truth at least for some segment of the population, be it geographical or cultural. Of the two, I’m not for sure what links me so strongly to the sisters. Maybe it’s just the Diana Ross fixation. But, whatever the cause, it seems that “strong” still carries a negative component. But, is being a bitch really a bad thing?

Annual Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
September 27, 2009 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment
On September 27, 2008 the National Association of People With AIDS (NAPWA) launched the first National Gay Men’s HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NGMHAAD). NGMHAAD’ was designed to refocus attention on a community that has long been affected by the HIV epidemic in both the U.S. and abroad.
The day is set as a call to action to counter growing complacency about HIV among gay men, at a time when the gay community is facing a resurgence of new HIV infections.
Today marks the second annual NGMHAAD and this years focus is on how gay men use the internet and how that medium can be used to distribute information including prevention.

Sunday Eye Candy: Beauty in the Eye of the Beholder

It just wouldn’t be Sunday without a little eye candy. The first pic was found on site that has some amazing photos. Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately, many are considered “adult”, so unless you’re over 18, don’t even think about it (click on the pic for more).
The others, well, just some hot guys floating around on the net. Would love to see some floating around here!
