What’s your agenda? Let us know on gayagenda.com’s weekly Blog Talk Radio show. The show goes live every Wednesday night from 8-9 p.m. EST, so make sure you set your reminders to listen as your host, James Hipps and weekly special guest discuss LGBT issues that matter most!
This week’s guest was Derrick L. Briggs. Derrick is a self proclaimed internet junkie. In his spare time he’s an actor, producer, and TV host. You can catch Derrick in the new hit indie gay film Finding me:
Haitian-American filmmaker Roger Omeus Jr. makes his feature directorial debut with this independent drama tracing a young gay black man’s deeply personal journey of self-discovery. Faybien Allen (Ray Martell Moore) isn’t quite sure where his life is going at the moment. His self-esteem is at an all-time low thanks to his brutish, homophobic father, though things soon begin to look up after Faybien catches the eye of self-assured hunk Lonnie (Derrick L. Briggs) while waiting at the local bus stop.
‘Finding Me’ is a movie about lower middle class African-American guys in Jersey City. The movie is now available on DVD at Blockbuster, FYE and Netflix or you can purchase it on Amazon.com.
According to a review on Oasis Magazine: Finding Me “has its heart in the right place.”
Derrick is currently involved in the production phase for the sequel, “Finding Me: Truth”.
