Austrailia Authorized Pensions for Gay & Lesbian Partners

January 3, 2009 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment

In Australia, Edward Young finally proved that he had the right to claim Larry Cains’ pension. They had been together for thirty years. Young and Cains met while they were in London in the 1960’s. Young was a model, and Cains a photographer. Cains had also served in the Australian Army on the Borneo front during WWII. “He was desperately handsome. We spent two weeks together and I told him I wanted to spend my life with him,” said Mr Young.

Mr. Cains passed away a decade ago.

The Lesbian Mom Next Door is Starting the Holidays Right

December 2, 2008 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment

Like many red-blooded, middle-class American lesbian moms, we spend the month of December decorating, overeating, shopping, visiting relatives and watching holiday television on DVD. We started with a bang December first by watching the original stop-motion Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer at our eleven year-old daughter’s request. She thought it would be a memorable beginning to the 2006 holiday season.

Well, you could say that–we’re not likely to forget that this was the year it was mere seconds into the movie before the social commentary started. The older two were aghast that Donner was so critical of his newborn son, that Santa was red-nosed intolerant, and I couldn’t help pointing out that not only was Hermie a dentist wanna-be, he had clearly been a theatre major in elf college, and with that hair was probably playing for our team. Maybe that was why he would “never fit in.”

This was when my wife suggested we were ruining it for our three year-old (so I shut up and started taking notes), but even he said, “Santa is not a nice guy,” when Santa told Donner he “should be ashamed of himself” because his son was different than all the rest.

Fitting In: Musings of a Lesbian with Bipolar

October 30, 2008 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment

I’m what people would call a tweener, or a lipstick lesbian, or a femme, or even a soft butch…the labels don’t matter to me, I am neither nor where any of those things are concerned. I am me. I am a lesbian, I don’t hate men, I did love my ex-husband though not in the way I love D-it’s very different. D is the love of my life, my ex-husband was my first real adult love. I am, however, more femme on the outside than butch. I am also more soft-butch on the inside than femme.

When I go out, anywhere, for the most part I wear more feminine clothes, I wear make-up, I have hair that is past my shoulders…when people see me most people don’t have any idea that I am gay. Am I supposed to wear clothes that are considered more “dykish”? Am I supposed to look more soft butch or butch so that I fit in or fit the idea of what people think of as lesbian?

My First Blog, Let Me Introduce Myself

September 14, 2008 by James Hipps · Leave a Comment

I’ve never really done this and actually expected anybody to read it so I guess I will introduce myself. I’m 23 years old, I live in South Florida. I was born in New York City. I’m hispanic, Dominican. I’m a lesbian and a butch at that. I’m single. Okay this is starting to sound like a personal ad. Jajaja. No honestly if you wanna know what I look like you can just check out my myspace profile. It’s myspace.com/ghostnoname I have a couple blogs in there. There’s one about kids, a lot of people like it. I’ll probably post it in the near future. Okay now you guys can call me Gh0st. Nice, huh? Anyway… I love music, deep conversations which I don’t have because not too many people are like me. Beyond popular belief I DO have a relationship with God, despite all the people that tell me I am going to go to hell for being a lesbian or if I don’t repent before I die.
