Are You Even Married, Maggie?
March 10, 2010 by Gay Agenda News Team · 2 Comments
No one has ever seen your husband. You attend countless marriage events, chock full of married couples, celebrating marriage, yet you always, always show up alone.
I had the displeasure of attending your recent presentation at the CATO Institute in Washington, D.C. I was amazed to see that you don’t wear a wedding ring. No rings on any fingers. Where is your alleged husband? Why no ring??
Just last year, NOM proudly said it spent over $8 million in a dozen states in your recently released “Investor’s Report.”
That doesn’t even include the millions more in attorney’s fees and money raised through your 501©3 charitable fund.
You fight people’s happiness at the ballot box, state legislatures and through too many law suits to count.
Recently, NOM has lead the effort to undo the Washington, D.C., law through every means possible, including going to Congress, the courts, all the way up to the United States Supreme Court. Brian Brown’s angry email from Friday states, “Don’t believe the lies. It’s not over in D.C. by any means.”

An Open Letter to Maggie Gallagher
March 8, 2010 by Gay Agenda News Team · 1 Comment
Why are you, all your financial backers and all your high-priced attorneys across the country hell-bent on destroying so many lives and hurting so many people, just as they are about to experience the happiest day of their lives?
What is so wrong with your life, that you make your living attempting to hurt so many others?
You preside over two extremely well funded organizations that portend to “protect marriage.” You speak all over the county at marriage rallies. You are on TV all the time defending what you call the “sanctity of marriage.” You have written books on marriage, one of which is even titled, The Case for Marriage: Why Married People Are Happier, Healthier, and Better-Off Financially, yet NOM’s Executive Director, Brian Brown and you viciously attack anyone who gets in your way.
Are You Even Married, Maggie?

Court Blocks Viewing of Prop 8 Trial
January 11, 2010 by James Hipps · 5 Comments
According to various reports, the Supreme Court has ruled to block broadcasting of the Prop 8 trial which is starting today in San Francisco, California…at least for the first few days of the trial. The presiding judge, Judge Vaughn Walker had originally stated he would allow the taping and delayed broadcasting, but Saturday, those who are arguing for Prop 8 filed an emergency appeal to stop the recording.
The high court ruled earlier today that airing the trial on YouTube.com would not be permitted, even with a delay, until they have had more time to consider the issue. The court stated they blocking of viewing would remain in effect at least until Wednesday, as they need time to consider objections by those opposed to the taping, who are also those opposed to marriage equality, as the opponents say they fear testimony from their witnesses could be affected if cameras are present.
Once Justice however, Justice Stephen Breyer said he would have allowed cameras while the court considers the matter, which is hopefully is an indication as to how the ruling will come down.

The Time Consuming Headaches Of Bigotry
January 9, 2010 by James Hipps · 3 Comments
I didn’t think it would be long before some of those who fought against marriage equality tried to bow out of the picture.
According to a post on Mercury News:
A vocal gay marriage opponent who volunteered to become a defendant in the case challenging California’s same-sex nuptial ban is now asking to be removed from the case.
and…
On Friday, Tam told U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker that he fears for his and his family’s safety. In his court filing, Tam’s lawyers say the trial will bring him unwanted publicity and expose him to retribution from gay marriage supporters.
Tam also says the case has been more time-consuming and more intrusive into his personal life than expected.
Well, I have a feeling the first part of his “reason” is simply an excuse. Perhaps he may fear same-sex marriage, but he and his family’s safety? Really? I am not aware of anyone being beaten or murdered for being anti-gay, although we all know there’s been more than several acts of violence carried out against LGBT citizens, which would lead me to believe the latter a bit more…that’s it’s simply too time consuming. Perhaps he should have thought of that prior to working to maintain inequality against a minority. This really goes to show the “inconvenience” the LGBT community has caused all the anti-gay bigots. After all, Maggie Gallager, NOM’s leader seems to think that complying to the law when it comes to her anti-gay fight has become a “headache”.
What are Anti-Gay Forces Trying to Hide?
January 9, 2010 by James Hipps · 4 Comments
According to a post on Mercury News:
Sponsors of California’s gay marriage ban are asking to delay the start of a federal trial considering the constitutionality of the voter-approved law.
They say they want time to appeal a judge’s decision to broadcast the court proceedings on Youtube because they oppose having cameras in the courtroom.
The trial is currently scheduled to begin Monday.
Earlier this week, U.S. District Court Judge Vaughn Walker decided to allow the video recording, a first for a federal courtroom in the West.
But the ban’s sponsors, who have intervened as defendants in the case, argue that witnesses fearing public reprisal may restrain or otherwise alter their testimony if cameras are present.
SO, do you REALLY think it’s about “fearing for their lives” or are they simply trying to delay the general public from accessing trial records so they aren’t privy to the lies that have supported the anti-gay movement? What possible “testimony” could someone have against “marriage equality” other than lies especially since there have been no devastating effects in states where marriage equality has been legalized, unlike what’s been predicted by anti-gay forces. Is it they’re afraid of exposing the only “leg” they have to stand on which is their “religious ideology”? Are they afraid of being even further exposed of bigotry they are guilty of? Perhaps it’s a combination of all the above, but I do believe the reason they don’t want cameras allowed is because of fear…fear they will exposed for who they truly are…liars!
One would think if they didn’t have something to hide, if they weren’t afraid public opinions could be swayed by the exposure of their lies thus gaining support for marriage equality, they would welcome cameras. One would think if they REALLY believed their own rhetoric and had facts to back their anti-gay sentiments, then cameras would be welcomed to reinforce their “fears” of marriage equality.
What does Maggie Gallagher, NOM’s leader have to say about the ruling?
“Judge Walker issued an extraordinary ruling that the private intentions of Prop. 8 proponents — ideas by definition never communicated to voters — were properly the subject of this trial. So people who worked on the campaign have been put on trial, subpoenaed for all their e-mails and personal correspondence. This is an enormous personal headache, one which will (as intended) discourage participation in the political process in the future.”
A “headache”? So this discriminatory, vile, liar thinks that being open and honest is a “headache”? These are tax exempt organizations maintaining discrimination of a tax-paying minority. Yes Maggie, I hope you do get a “headache” from having to disclose your lies!
Maggie also had the following to say:
“The case will be a show trial in a kangaroo court. I don’t say that lightly of any federal judge, but Judge Walker’s extraordinary bias has already been flagrantly on display.”
But, being the good God fearing Christian she is (one who makes over 6 figures a year to discriminate) she advise her flock of sheep with the following Biblical advice:
“Be not afraid.” That’s the most often repeated commandment in Holy Scriptures. A movement founded on a lie about human nature will fail. It takes just a few men and women of courage and vision to stand up for God’s truth against all the powers that counsel defeat, despair or indifference.
Well Maggie, I believe it’s too late. You are afraid, as well as you should be, that one day, perhaps sooner than later, you will be exposed for the hatred you spread and perhaps you’ll no longer live a much more financially secure life than a majority of those you work so hard to oppress.
