Stewart Derails Huckabee on Marriage Equality

Jon Stewart has continued to be a huge ally of the LGBT community using his voice to debate and dispel the rhetoric and religious ideology behind anti-gay discrimination.

I find the clip below, humorous, yet interesting how Huckabee really has no defense for his beliefs other than “that’s the way it’s always been”, which Stewart factually disputes as well.

Thanks Jon Stewart. You really are one of MY heroes!

New Poll Shows Increase in LGBT Support

According to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll, there has been a nine-point increase in support for legalizing same sex marriages since 2006. The approval rating now is up to 52 %. That same poll also shows that strong opposition to marriage equality has dropped significantly, 10 points, over that same period. The increase in support comes from those who are Democrat or Independent.

Not much has changed among Republicans however. Only about one in five support legal gay marriages, which is the same as it was in 2006. .
