Jon Stuart recently spoke with Mike Huckabee and asked him some very GREAT questions about why he views Gay Marriage as such a bad thing. Huckabee really has no good answer, except, that’s how he feels.

Lesbian Gang Raped in Brutal Hate Crime

According to the SF Gate:

Police are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of four men who allegedly kidnapped and gang-raped for nearly an hour a 28-year-old Richmond woman, who was left naked when they fled in her car.

The crime, which occurred on Dec. 13, is being investigated as a hate crime because of comments the suspects made about the victim’s sexual orientation, police said. The woman is openly lesbian and had a rainbow sticker on her license plate, a symbol of gay pride.

“The emotional impact has changed her life,” said Lt. Mark Gagan of the Richmond Police Department. “It is an absolute nightmare for her to have gone through. For 45 minutes, four strangers brutalized her.”

The ordeal began around 9:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of Visalia Avenue in Richmond’s Belding-Wood neighborhood, said Gagan.

The woman was sexually assaulted in that location after she got out of her car, police said. Then she was forced back into her vehicle after the suspects noticed someone approaching. She was driven seven blocks away to the 1300 block of Burbeck Avenue, where she was repeatedly sexually assaulted near an apartment complex, Gagan said.

I wonder if this is suffering enough for Mike Huckabee?

Huckabee’s Fake Persecution Complex

Mike Huckabee gave an interview to the Florida Baptist Witness where the incredibly popular Christian martyr pose was on full display. First he says something stupid about the atheist sign in Washington:

Christians need to be “very firm” but not angry in addressing issues like the recent flap in Washington State where atheists have placed a sign in the rotunda of the state capitol denigrating religion, Mike Huckabee told Florida Baptist Witness in an interview Dec. 9.

“It’s not a matter of turning the other cheek,” Huckabee said. “Atheists resent that there’s a holiday that Christians can celebrate.”

This is gibberish. Christians do not need to be the least bit firm in “addressing” the atheist sign. It doesn’t need to be addressed at all and is only being addressed by demagogues like Bill O’Reilly and Ken Hutcherson. The fact that other people have the right to say that they think your views are wrong is not a problem to be addressed. And atheist do not resent that Christians can celebrate Christmas; lots and lots of atheists celebrate Christmas in all the same ways that Christians do (and many Christians refuse to celebrate it because of its pagan origins).

Victim of Gay Hate Crime in Brooklyn Dies

Jose Osvaldo Sucuzhanay, the Ecuadorian immigrant who was brutally beaten with an aluminum baseball bat in Brooklyn this past Saturday was taken off life support today.

According to a police, Sucuzhanay and his brother were seen staggering and holding on to each other as they left a Mexican bar early Saturday morning in Brooklyn. Four young men in a maroon SUV thought the brothers were gay. One of the men was heard shouting, “Check out those fagots over there.” The passengers jumped out of the SUV and accosted the two brothers. One of the attackers shouted, “Fuck you, Spanish people.”

Police are treating the death of Sucuzhanay as a hate crime and are offering a $22,000 reward for the capture of the four black teens in the maroon SUV.

I wonder if homophobe Mike Huckabee who recenlty stated on “The View” that gays haven’t suffered knows this guy got his “skull cracked open” because of his perceived sexuality?
