God is Sarah Palin’s ‘Palm Pilot’

The following video demonstrates completely gullible some Americans are. They actually buy this. I sincerely wonder how long it took her to come up with this one. Is this a God complex or can Sarah Palin really “pray away the gay”, and can she really compare herself to God? Perhaps she has merely found a comfort zone by offering excuses rather than owning up to what she’s being criticized for.
VA AG Ask Colleges to Rescind Discrimination Policies

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli II has asked the state’s public colleges and universities to rescind policies that ban discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, arguing in a letter sent to each school Thursday that their boards of visitors have no legal authority to adopt such statements.
In the letter, Cuccinelli (R) wrote that only the General Assembly can extend legal protections to gay state employees — a move the legislature has repeatedly declined to take, including as recently as this week.
“It is my advice that the law and public policy of the Commonwealth of Virginia prohibit a college or university from including ’sexual orientation,’ ‘gender identity,’ ‘gender expression,’ or like classification as a protected class within its non-discrimination policy absent specific authorization from the General Assembly,” he wrote.
The Hypocrisy of Anti-Gay Conservatives

They quote the Bible by selected verse casting homosexuals to Eternal Damnation. They seek to keep homosexuals from having the basic rights of equality and protection which most Americans take for granted. They support an archaic military rule that deprives talented and much needed human assets from joining or being relived of duty when the “truth” is found out about an individual. And in some cases they compare the homosexual lifestyle to that of pedophiles.
And yet while condemning a lifestyle or impeding advancement and making inflammatory comments about homosexuals, they are in a variety of ways themselves a part of the very lifestyle which they oppose or are participants in the darkest corners of illegality.
In 2006 Florida Republican Mark Foley, a six term Congressional representative, resigned over allegations he sent sexually explicit Internet messages to at least one underage male who was a former page at the Capitol. At the time ABC News reported that it had interviewed Foley, 52, about excerpts of instant messages provided by current and former pages under the age of 18. ABC reported that Foley, under the AOL Instant Messenger screen name Maf54, made repeated references to sexual acts and body parts.

Republicans Cry Biased on the Military’s Study on Gay Ban
March 4, 2010 by Gay Agenda News Team · Leave a Comment
Some Republicans are dismissing a planned nine-month Pentagon study on gays in the military as biased because it assumes Congress will eventually repeal the 1993 law known as “don’t ask, don’t tell.”
GOP lawmakers are likely to use the argument to try to chip away at the credibility of the assessment, which Defense Secretary Robert Gates envisions as the first comprehensive look at the policy in its 17-year lifetime.
Pentagon General Counsel Jeh Johnson and U.S. Army Forces Europe commander Gen. Carter Ham were expected to testify Wednesday before a House Armed Services subcommittee for the first time since being tapped to lead the study.
“Many of us on this committee have serious concerns with putting our men and women in uniform through such a divisive debate while they are fighting two wars,” said Rep. Buck McKeon of California, the full committee’s top Republican.
So, set aside GOProud and the Log Cabin Repubs, but what exactly is it about Republicans and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. Do they realize being anti-gay, which has been a huge part of their platform is breaking apart? Do they realize once being gay is no longer viewed as a threat of terrorism they will have even less of a leg to stand on when voters exercise that right? Is it simply that yes, the religious right has hijacked the GOP?
Maryland AG Upsets Anti-Gay Conservatives

Yesterday, Maryland’s Attorney General, Douglas F. Gansler (D) declared that Maryland will recognize same-sex marriages performed where they are legal and that the state agencies should start providing same-sex married couples the same rights as heterosexual ones immediately.
This adds Maryland to the small list of states which includes New York and D.C. that recognize same-sex marriages performed five states where it’s currently legal.
Gansler also supports of legalizing same-sex marriages in Maryland and issued the statement after being asked his opinion on the issue.
Gansler’s statement however met the usual and expected backlash from those who oppose marriage equality, and as Gansler acknowledged, it is apt to be challenged in court.
Republican and African American lawmakers were quick to attack Gansler’s decision. One Republican went as far as vowing to bring articles of impeachment against Gansler. and the Roman Catholic archbishops of Washington and Baltimore and the bishop of Wilmington stated they take “strong exception” to the decision.
